Dan Caldwell, vice president of policy at Concerned Veterans for America, joined Doc Thompson on Monday morning to discuss VA reform, including #FixTheVA and #Hire10000Veterans.

Caldwell shared CVA’s hopes for reform under Dr. David Shulkin, President Trump’s nominee for VA Secretary. CVA is pushing for greater transparency, accountability, and choice at the VA. “If you can choose to serve your country, you should be able to choose your doctor. It’s that simple,” Caldwell told Thompson.

Caldwell acknowledged the difficulty of achieving real reform in Washington, but ultimately remained hopeful. “We think all the pieces are in place for real change to happen,” he declared.
