Something I haven’t been able to find an answer to. We all know that Finance is usually behind when it comes to turning on and off our tax free when deployed, so when we contribute to the TSP, how is the correct amount tax free if Finance doesn’t update it until much later?

For example, deploy in October, Finance doesn’t fix your pay until November, how does TSP know my contribution from October was tax free?
