I’ve recently bought a few bits of furniture from a local auction house (UK) and within a draw in the bureau was a small hidden compartment, I got it open and found a small brown box with a name and address on it containing 3 WW2 medals and ribbons.

The box has the persons name, service number and previous address within the box, is their a way of finding the family or even the owner of these medals as I’d like to return them if possible. I have tried searching online but to no avail, does anybody know if it is possible?
