Does it make sense to use a Chinook when the operation is only transporting troops and not heavy equipment? Red Wings and Extortion 17 were both cases that were improbable but impactful. If the operation doesn't call for heavy equipment, shouldn't the army use multiple Black Hawks instead of one or two Chinooks? They seem to have similar max speed and altitudes so I dont understand why the army will not send out an AC130 after sunrise, but hasnt changed any policy for Chinooks
