I (M21) am completely lost in life and miserable, and I am thinking about just joining the military, but I don't have any friends or family in the military and I don't know anything about it. What is the differences between each branch for someone like me? what would I be doing differently if I joined the Army or the Navy for example? I would ask a recruiter but I am paranoid they would just tell me whatever I want to hear to make me want to join their branch or whatever. Any and all information would be helpful bc I know nothing and idk who to ask.

Edit: basically the things that interest me in joining the military are: learning a useful skill for after service, being able to do something active instead of sit at a desk, The opportunity to travel, The comradery, the structure and purpose, and the feeling of being useful to someone
