What Mistake did you make in Basic that stuck for a while?

During basic at RTC(USN basic), we were drilling firearm turnover. I picked up a gun belt and put it on. When it was my turn to preform pistol turnover procedure, i preform all the steps along with six others, all of us in a line with the seven turning the weapons over to us. Then we take the dummy pistol out of the safety tube(I don't remember terms I was a Nuc and never handled a weapon after basic). and we holster the dummy pistols, except there wasn't a holster, I looked down and realized the person before me was left Handed, and that while I hadn't changed the side of the belt it was on, i had holster open on the correct side, which meant I had no choice but to holster the dummy pistol one the wrong side, backwards, butt to the front. at this point my 2nd RDC(Navy Drill sergeants equivelent) spoke up he was a 19 year Sonar Tech First, black and from Baltimore.
"Seaman Recuit Northman, what the fuck is wrong with your holster."
"Petty Officer! The last recruit to use the belt was left handed! Petty Officer!"
"Why the Fuck is it backwards? How in the Fucking Fuck did you manage that!"
"Petty Officer! I am very confused! Petty Officer!"
"I'd say you are confused you John Wayne'd that shit!" he said. I gave him a confused stare. He continued the death glare but his lips were tugging hard.
"Master At Arms! Fix the Duke!" he said. Thereafter all our RDCs started calling me Seaman Duke, though only when we weren't doing anything official. It Could have been worse and my Ship Nickname was the name of a beer my 1st class though it would be funny to pin on me.
