Not sure if this is the right subreddit but I’m just going to post here anyways.

So my ex of 4 months (we dated a little over 2yrs) is leaving for basic training in less than 3 days and I’m so heartbroken to be losing someone I care still so much about, even though we aren’t together. I’m still so in love with that man and we’ve talked about him leaving almost a year ago and now the days are counting down and it’s suddenly all starting to feel so real. I just need the other minds of Reddit to help put my mind at ease and give me advice or just share your experiences with a loved one who left for the military.
