DEERS and dual military

I am in the reserves and I’m going on a mobilization. My wife is active duty. Both my DEERS and her DEERS is listed as having dependents (we have no children). I was told by the CCC that since I’m reserves I should not have any dependents and my ESR reflects that however DEERS does not and if this is the case it will cause us to be overpaid and end a ton of money to the govt.

Royal Marines / Parachute regiment.

I've been training to join the ranks of the RMC for about 4-5 years now. But recently found our that because I was in temporary foster care due to abuse. I'm more than likely not to be accepted.
And have been advised to attempt the army instead.
So I wanted to join an elite unit, and so I'm going for my 'backup' the parachute regiment.
And was wondering if anyone out there could tell me how likely...
