Do you think military appreciation gestures at sporting events, such as Baseball, are good for service members and veterans? Or do you think it’s tacky/forced? Why/why not?

Edit: do you guys stand up at games when they ask service-members to stand?

I am ETSing out of the Army after 8 yrs of service as a medic. I have a Bachelor in Nursing, so I'm looking to commission as a nurse in the reserves or guard. Currently exploring all my options.
