if you switched branches, what was your experience like?

Hi all,
I am ETSing out of the Army after 8 yrs of service as a medic. I have a Bachelor in Nursing, so I'm looking to commission as a nurse in the reserves or guard. Currently exploring all my options. Obviously, retention has already sent Army medical recruiters my way, but I'm really interested in the Air Force for the better quality of life and shorter deployments. I'm open to learning about Navy nursing too.
If you've switched branches, what did you like/dislike?? Is the USAF as cushy of a life as they all say? If you're a nurse, I'd love to hear about your experiences!
