Is the army as bad as I think?
Posted on
Honestly, I never liked the army since I was a kid, not because I think military people are bad or anything like that, just because I don't think it's my style. I've always been a good, polite, respectful, rule-following guy, but I don't like hitting or cussing people out for no reason and I don't like it happening to me either, but I think in the army that's exactly what will happen, the people who teach there (It's not for lack of respect, I just don't know how they are called) always curse and yell at people wanting to learn, and I also fear that the "physical activities" there are quite violent and involve harming innocent people. I also obviously don't like having to clean the floor with my toothbrush and clean my teeth with it afterwards and having to be seen naked by other men (Not because I'm homophobic, just because I don't like being naked around strangers). Another thing that I don't particularly like is having to go in the mud (I like to stay clean and avoid bad smell when possible) and being forced to do activities in extreme weather, like scorching heat and very heavy rain, because I can end up feeling sick and I don't like it. For these and several other reasons I really don't like the army and I fear joining and then turning into a violent, aggressive, brutal, and personalityless guy who only knows how to follow rules and kill other people when ordered, I want to continue being the good, respectful and polite guy that I am today, who only uses violence and force if necessary and who avoids starting fights because he doesn't like to hurt others. Is the army really like that or is it different? Please tell me about your experience and what it's like there :D
