People in the military have it 10x worse than me I am 100% aware, this is a story as old as the military itself.

I’m really just struggling on a deployment missing my family and specifically my 1 year old daughter. Watching her grow up and understand the world without me is tearing me apart and I’m not even half way through.

My biggest fear is getting back and her being scared of me as a stranger or not remembering me

Just looking for some insight from people who have gone through this with young children. Thank you for any input anyone has.

Tldr: deployed, worried my 1 year old won’t remember me at all and our bond will be tainted.
