Hey guys, I have a quick question on how I should break the news to my family? I am being sworn in on Tuesday. My ASVAB was pretty good, and I am going to hopefully get a good career. That and the early retirement are my reasons for enlisting, also traveling and getting to see different people and places are a plus.

My question is, how and when should I break the news to my family? Should I do all my family at once, or just sections at a time? Should I wait till after Christmas, or do it now?

I am the first since my great grandfathers (WW2 Vets) to join the military. This is new to me, and I would appreciate any help.
