Help Identifying WWII Vet’s Ribbons
Posted on
My uncle, Ed Kramer, was a talented musician and mathematician who fought in World War II with Patton (and perhaps others.). Injured repeatedly, he told us they’d post him high in a steeple or other building to calculate artillery trajectories, and Germans made it a priority to kill guys like him. (Full of shrapnel, he married my Aunt after the war, and lived until approx 1990, playing music around Central Ohio.) I now have his uniform jacket and 2 unit photos — can you help decode the ribbons and patches? [link] [comments] |
