So I live in Florida now but lived in and around Camp Pendleton from 2003-2013. I raised my kids there, I just have a special connection to that area. For our 20th Anniversary my wife and I decided to visit and do some things in San Diego that we were too cool to do when we were serving. One thing I noticed was how unkempt the base was. Weeds around sidewalks, grass overgrown, just looked abandoned. Anyone else have this experience or is it just me only remembering only the good times?
