I live on a really quiet street in the U.K, nothing much happens except the odd chav causing property damage or drunks walking up n down the street but tonight was different, and scary. A royal logistics corps van turned up to a property about 4 doors down across the road from me at about 10pm and were there 3 hours. Now people on the street asked what was going on but were ushered indoors quickly and were told they couldn’t be notified of what was going on. Now I’ll probably get sarcastic answers but surely if there was a bomb located they would have evacuated the street?, even though it could have been small, the street was also not cordoned off although there were 2 police vans in presence waiting at the bottom. What other reason could there be for them being there, do they get dispatched if they discover bomb making equipment? Rumours are flying around it could be a meth lab in someone’s house but I thought the whole situation was quite scary to see army guys putting things in the back of this gigantic lorry. One of the neighbours told me they were de-activating something or dismantling something in the back but I ask again, if there was a genuine bomb threat why didn’t they evacuate the neighbours ?
