This year for the holiday season Im hoping to start a new tradition with our children as they are getting older; they are all under 7 so not quite old enough to volunteer, but they are old enough to give back. We would like to send some cards and care packages with treats, needs, etc. to actively deployed troops (husband was an Army Ranger so we have strong support for military). As I looked online, there are tons of good and bad reviews for groups that this can be executed, but the reviews vary. Some claim the organizations keep the items, others claim the group is a scam, and there are the same amount of raving reviews about the integrity of the org. Is there a best organization to go through for doing this? Or are there any active USA soldiers on Reddit (or ones that Reddit users know) that our family could send a care package to? Welcoming pms from anyone actively deployed or anyone who knows someone overseas. Thanks in advance for your help!
