My husband is interested in joining the Air Force as an experienced pharmacist. He contacted a medical recruiter who has been nice but he doesn’t want to bombard him with questions. He is enthusiastic about the opportunity to join.

Does anyone know if pharmacists are even needed right now? By the Air Force or any other branch? I know a few years ago around 2029 they cut a lot of medical positions but can’t find anything recent about pharmacist need.

So far he has submitted the application to the AF and sent requests for his medical records. We may consider the Army next if the Air Force doesn’t work out.
