Updated and simplified rules for /r/MilitaryStories!
Posted on
After a discussion with some of the other mods, we have agreed to update our rule set for two reasons. First, they are way too complicated and there are too many of them. Second, this will help with the "rules lawyers" out there who like to occasionally argue with the mod team.
Effective immediately, the new rules are as follows:
Rule 1: Post a true story without the use of AI from your military service or that of a family member. Readers and authors both be cautious of PERSEC and OPSEC in your stories and comments.
Rule 2: No links to blogs or other outside sites besides links for references.
Rule 3: You may post a story every 3 days and you may repost any story of yours that is 2 or more years old.
Rule 4: Arbitrary mods. We have final say in everything.
