My last story about my toxic commander and how she gave up her commission.

Sorry about taking so long in writing this last story. I tried to write it within the 3 days of the last one, so it got kicked back. After that, I forgot about finishing the story.
This is a warning. It’s long, but good.
What finished her started when a married SGT (been in for 10 years at the time) and his whole family was sick including a newborn. His wife was so sick that she couldn’t get out of bed.
He took Tylenol and went to sick call. Because of the Tylenol he temperature was normal and medic wrote on his paperwork “return to duty”.
After he left sick call, he called his SSG and told him the situation at home. The SSG told him that unless the paperwork says 24 hour quarters, then his place is in the office.
He scratched out “return to duty” and put an x on “24 hour quarters” and told his SSG that he was on 24 hour quarters.
The next day he got the case of the conscience and told the SSG what he did. The SSG took him to the CPT, and suggested that he gets a company grade article 15 for falsifying government documents. Which she did.
While he (now a SPC) was doing his 15/15’s the commander wanted to know if he wanted to leave the army and he said yes.
She told him that it should take a couple of months to get all the paperwork done.
He told his wife to take his son to his in-laws and he would meet him there in a couple of months.
He was put into the time out room (a barracks room for married soldiers when they are having marital issues temporarily) waiting for the paperwork.
As the company clerk I was to move his paperwork to the different departments. When I was taking his paperwork to legal, I noticed she was trying to discharge him dishonorably for the falsifying documents.
Legal laughed and a couple of days later returned them saying that the only way for a dishonorable discharge like this is if there was a pattern of misconduct.
She went back into his personal file and found where he popped hot (positive for drugs) 9 years ago and tried to pass it off to legal as the pattern of misconduct. Legal laughed and returned the paperwork again saying that this is not considered a pattern of misconduct.
So she sat on it for 6 months while he was sitting in the time out room going crazy missing his family and just wanting to get out.
He complained to IG numerous of times, but the commander said that it’s just taking longer than expected to get the paperwork together. As a result, IG did nothing.
He finally got enough money to hire an attorney who went to JAG and told them the situation.
After investigating, JAG found out that the paperwork was ready for her to sign off for at least 4 months. JAG gave her a date for her to sign off on it or she would be in trouble. She signed off on it literally one hour before it was due as an honorable discharge.
After that, JAG was interested on what other shady/illegal things she was doing, so they got CID involved.
Once she found out that she was being investigated (for at least “unbecoming of an officer”), she turned in her commission.
