Our friend's birthday is coming up and we wanted to bring him at a shooting range, unfortunately we live in commie Canada, so there are a few available ranges here but the prices are pretty expensive and the choice in guns is very limited. I don't know much about the rules and regulations so I was wondering if it would be possible to drive over to the US and go to a range over there, although this isn't a road trip so it would have to remain pretty close from Montreal, like the state of New York or Vermont. We're all over 18 but none of us have any kind of hunting/shooting licenses or anything. I know when I went to Vegas a few years ago that this was possible, but it has to be at driving distance from Montreal, can anyone recommend a specific shooting range in either of those states where a few guys over 18 with no licenses can come and shoot a little bit? Or can anyone enlighten me on the laws concerning this subject?
