The company Rosomak S.A. executed a contract under which she had to deliver chassis base 40 wheeled armored personnel carriers destined for the United Arab Emirates.
According to Defence24.pl, United Arab Emirates (UAE) has ordered 40 Patria AMV 8×8 armoured vehicles produced by Polish Rosomak S.A. copmany.
The spokesman of Rosomak S.A. Michael Rumin said that vehicles will lack the amphibious capabilities of the ones Rosomak built for the Polish Land Forces but will have additional armour and mine protection. The first 40 hulls, three of which have already been built, will be fitted with remote weapon stations armed with 12.7 mm machine guns or 40 mm automatic grenade launchers.
The optional 50 vehicles will be the longer 8x8L variant fitted with an unspecified “larger-calibre armament”.
The Rosomak source added that it might receive another contract to deliver 20-30 hulls for a “neighbouring country” in the Middle East.
