Upon completion of tests in Chernigov and on the proving ground in Goncharovskoye, armored vehicles went to the proving ground of Rovno for military exercises. In Rovno these vehicles have been joined by KrAZ-Spartan, KrAZ-Coguar and vehicles from other manufacturers such as Kazak, Bars, Varta, etc.
All the vehicles that participated in the exercises have been presented to a group of military men with the Chief of the General Staff, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forced of Ukraine Mr.V.Muzhenko at the head and battalion commanders. After inspection military vehicles have been test driven by armed forces personnel and battalion commanders.
Kremenchug Automobile Plant is proud to note that KrAZ vehicles offered the best off-road capability during test drive. When off-roading over marshy terrain on the course Kazak, Bars, Varta and Renault Midlum armored vehicles could not negotiate it and KrAZ vehicles had to recover stuck vehicles. At the same time, KrAZ-Shrek and KrAZ-Fiona vehicles easily tackled this terrain.
During military exercises the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine officials could drive vehicles on some proving ground tracks. After test driving these vehicles military men gave positive feedback about power and excellent off-road performance of KrAZ vehicles. What is more, military men said that both light and heavy KrAZ armored vehicles are needed in the frontline and military units for various tasks. The servicemen emphasized that KrAZ vehicles once again proved their ability to meet all the expectations of the army men and tackle their job in a rugged environment.
