Ukraine’s ex-president: Putin seems to be preparing for an all-out invasion

Russian President Vladimir Putin creates conditions and opportunities for a massive armed attack on Ukraine.
The first Ukrainian President Leonid Kravchuk stated in a comment to journalists at the margins of the conference “Ukraine – NATO. Year of rapprochement and integration”, reports Ukrinform.
“I have long been following the speeches of the Russian president and listened to his press conference recently, he seems to be starting to act to create a wider field for a possible deeper and more extensive attack on Ukraine,” Kravchuk said, commenting on the withdrawal of Russian officers from Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire (JCCC) in Ukraine.

Early, the Russian Defence Ministry reported about intend to withdraw its representatives from the JCCC in Donbas, according to the OSCE SMM report based on information received as of 19:30, December 14, 2017.
“On 14 December, the Ukrainian Armed Forces representative to the Joint Centre for Control and Co-ordination in the JCCC headquarters in government-controlled Soledar (79km north of Donetsk) shared with the SMM a letter from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation informing Ukraine that the Russian Federation would withdraw its Armed Forces officers from the JCCC,” reads the report.

The JCCC, consisting of Russian and Ukrainian officers, was set up in September 2014 by an agreement between the presidents of Russia and Ukraine to assist the implementation of the Minsk agreements on a settlement in Ukraine.
