TITUS 6×6 multi-role high-mobility protected vehicle of Nexter Systems will be displayed at Eurosatory 2014 defence show. The company is currently building a second vehicle with increased mobility.
TITUS is proposed in four different versions comprising ambulance, reconnaissance with Thales MARGOT 5000 mast mounted observation system and remote weapon station, urban combat with remote weapon station, fire detection system, slat armor and dozer blade, and urban assault vehicle for homeland security missions.
Prior the event, the company invited a selected group of people to watch and trial the vehicle at the Military Camp of Beynes near Paris, France. It was seen equipped with Nexter Systems ARX 20 remote weapon station armed with a 20 mm automatic cannon, climate control system by Soprano Industry, communications, battle management system and Optsys CREWSHARE situational awareness system. Its powerpack comprise diesel engine by Cummins and automatic transmission by Allison Transmission.
TITUS is based on a modified T815-series chassis by Tatra Defence.
The vehicle has been recently tested in a country of the Middle East, and is soon to be trialled by another country in same region of the globe.
TITUS was developed between 2012 and 2013, and was unveiled in September 2013 in London, United Kingdom per ocasion of DSEI 2013 international defence show.
