The National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST) of Taiwan has unveiled its new developed TC-2 short-range tactical air-defence system.

The TC-2 air-defence system was unveiled during the Taipei Aerospace & Defense Technology Exhibition (TADTE 2017).  The system can be deployed to strike all types of aerial platforms moving at low and medium altitudes. It is integrated with radars to acquire and identify targets while on the move and at halt.

The battlefield air-defense system is composed of a Target Acquisition Radar, a Command and Control Center, the 40mm gun system and the Surface-launched TC-2 system. The system can be deployed to strike all types of aerial platforms moving at low and medium altitudes. Either the wire or wireless communication system (or Both) is utilized in the system. The system is commanded by the Command and Control Center. The interfaces of Fire / Control System are solely developed by NCSIST. The system is easily integrated with the current Target. Acquisition Resources to form a TC-2 air defence system.

The TC-2 missile system is mounted on the high-mobility cross-country chassis. The air defence missile system can carry up to four surface-to-air guided missiles in the container-launcher tubes.
