Spanish army tests new VAMTAC SK95 artillery truck

Spanish Army has announced on 7 March that soldiers assigned to 7th brigade “Galicia”, stationed in Pontevedra (Galicia) tested new artillery truck developed by UROVESA.
According to a statement, the new truck designed to town lightweight lightweight howitzer and called the VAMTAC SK95.
The VAMTAC SK95 truck uses a modified VAMTAC ST5 chassis and has a gross weight of up to 10 tons.
For the first time, UROVESA announced the development of a cargo version of VAMTAC at EuroSatory-2008 in Paris, but since then a few years about the development of the project has not been heard until the prototype VAMTAC SK95 in the truck version was demonstrated at HOMSEC-2015 in Madrid.
UROVESA is a Spanish heavy vehicle manufacturer based in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia. It is best known for the production of the URO VAMTAC, a Humvee-like four-wheel drive motor vehicle, and URO trucks.
