Serbia plans to start equipping national defence forces with a new Milos unmanned ground vehicles (UGV) from the next year.

According to the source in the Ministry of defence, the Serbia’s Army looks to buy some number of new Milos unmanned ground vehicles for testing. The Milos is a research project involving a group of specialists from Military Technical Institute (MIT) has worked with the Special Products Factory Namenska.

The Milos is a remotely controlled tracked vehicle designed for providing high performances both on road and in off-road. The system is designed for reconnaissance, fire support, patrols and protection of areas and important facilities.

The UGV is compatible with remote-controlled weapon stations (RCWS) of various types. Also, vehicle armed with a locally developed 7.62 mm M86 machine gun (MG) and an RBG 40 mm/6 M-11 grenade launcher.

The total height of the vehicle in combat mode is not more than 1.7225 m, a width of 770 mm, and a height of 950 mm. On the rough terrain the speed of movement is 7 km/h. Milos has a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 620 kg.
