Second Gulfstream G550 VIP aircraft arrives in Poland
Posted on
The second of two planes for VIPs purchased by the Polish government has landed in the northern city of Bydgoszcz.
That was reported by Polish Ministry of National Defence.
The delivery of the aircraft is a tangible effect of the effort made by the Polish government to replace the aging VIP transport fleet, until now consisting of Tu-154M and Yak-40 post-soviet jets.
The current government decided to buy two Gulfstream G550 and three Boeing 737 jets.
The second G550 Gulfstream plane has been christened General Kazimierz Pułaski – a military hero of both Poland and the US who lived between 1745 and 1779.
A special ceremony was held in Bydgoszcz on Saturday to mark the plane’s arrival. The event was attended by deputy defence minister Bartosz Kownacki.
