In the course of the large-scale command-and-staff training concerning aviation groups and Air Defence of the Eastern MD, aviation units located in Primorsk Krai, Transbaikalia Territory, Khabarovsk Krai and Kamchatka Krai performed air superiority missions.

Su-35, Su-30 and Su-27 crews performed training air missions, launched missiles and conducted firing at a number of training areas. Training was conducted as over land as over sea. Pilots performed training tasks in pairs, wings, groups and lonely.

More than 100 aircraft and helicopters were involved in the training.
