The Russian Defence Ministry has released photos of its latest expedition in the Southern Russia where it is putting its state-of-the-art vehicles to the test.

Specialists of the Main Armored Vehicle Directorate of the Russian Defense Ministry carried out determinative tests in conditions of increased dust and mountainous terrain.

Tests have passed vehicles – Ural-63096 Typhoon-U, KAMAZ-4386 Typhoon-VDV, KAMAZ-53949 Typhoon-K, Patrol-70201 (4×4), trucks of high terrain Ural-63706-0120 Tornado Ural-4320 Next, Ural-6361, KAMAZ-53501, KAMAZ-6560, wheeled road machine KDBM, special wheeled chassis BAZ-69092-021 and BAZ-6909-015, new cars of the UAZ family.

In the course of the expedition, laboratory and laboratory-road works were carried out in accordance with the test program, determined the possibilities for the movement of samples in the column according to the dust conditions and the reference patency when moving on dry bulk sand, the temperature regime of the aggregates and systems during the non-stop march.

When lifting vehicles on Elbrus, the temperature modes of operation of the units are determined when lifting to a height of more than 3000 m, and the reliability of starting a cold and hot engine on the main fuel at an altitude of up to 4000 m is checked.
