Russia wants to export its newest Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile system

The Almaz-Antey Group wants to export the new Buk-M3 medium-range anti-aircraft missile system.
Work is underway to prepare the Buk-M3 medium-range antiaircraft missile system for sales abroad and issue its export configuration passport, Director of the Tikhomirov R&D Institute of Instrument-Making (part of Almaz-Antey Group) Yuri Bely told TASS on Monday.
“Our developments in the niche of medium-range antiaircraft missile systems have been successfully exported for already half a century. We hope that the Buk-M3, for which an export configuration passport is currently being prepared, will see a bright future on the external market,” he said.
Earlier it was reported, that Egypt has asked Russia to deliver the newest Buk-M3 anti-aircraft missile system. According to the source, Egypt is planning to submit a request for the newest Russian Buk-M3 medium-range surface-to-air missile system.
The Buk-M3 (NATO reporting name: SA-17 Grizzly) is a newest Russian medium-range surface-to-air missile system is a modernized version of the Buk-M2 system. The Buk-M3 developed by the Russian Defense Company Almaz-Antey.
