Kalashnikov Concern develops new anti-riot vehicle

The Kalashnikov Concern, a subsidiary of the Rostec state corporation, has developed the new Shchit (Shield) anti-riot vehicle to handle riots and mobs in the streets and urbanized areas.
The new Shchit anti-riot vehicle was showcased and demonstrated at the Army-2017 international military-technical exhibition, outside Moscow. The vehicle based on the cross-country truck chassis, developed by KAMAZ.
The Shchit vehicle is offered a solution for both protecting the law-enforcement units in action and controlling the situation whenever peace maintenance is required. The truck is equipped with a protected cabin, water cannon and steel shield.
The shield comes equipped with launching ports designed for use of guns or other rubber projectiles launchers.
