Iraq receives Gorets-M armored vehicles from Russia

The first Gorets-M armored vehicles granted by Russia to the Iraqi Armed Forces have arrived at Port of Basra.
The Iraqi army has received the next batch of Russian military vehicles included KamAZ-65225 military tank transporters for T-90 tanks and new Gorets-M armored vehicles.
Gorets-M 4×4 armoured vehicle based on the Russian-made 8×8 Kamaz-43502 chassis. and developed by OKB Tehnika. The vehicle was equipped with a nuclear, biological, and chemical protection system, and Level 1 STANAG 4569 mine-blast and Level 3 ballistic protection.

The length of the “Gorets-M” is 7,4 m, a width of the vehicle is 2.5 m, and the height has 2990 mm. The total weight of the new armored vehicle is 11.9 tons. The payload is 1 ton.
The Gorets-M armored vehicle is intended for the transportation of the personnel on the battlefield and protection against bullets and fragments of improvised explosive devices (IED).
