U.S. Soldiers, Marines, Department of Defense civilians, and troops from the United Kingdom observed and tested a series of unmanned, remote-controlled ground vehicles including remotely controlled M58 smoke generator called Wolf during a combined training event at Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, April 2, 2018.

The bases version of is an agile, armored mobile vehicle of the United States Army, capable of producing smoke screens to block both visual and infrared detection. Large area multispectral obscurant smoke screening is used to cover the tracks of troops and artillery. The M58 system is made up of an M56 smoke generation unit built onto an M113 type chassis.

Together with the new robotics kit from General Dynamics Land Systems, the vehicle it can safely enter the front line and moves out into a position where it can conceal the Tanks or Artillery in order for them to move into a more advantageous location for firing on the enemy.

The M58 Wolf with a remotely controlled kit provides mask the maneuvers of ground forces during reconnaissance, recovery, and insertion missions while the crew of the combat vehicle to hide in the safe place.
