Chinese-made Wing Loong drone crashes on flight over Pakistan

A Pakistan Air Force drone crashed near Headpaka area of Mianwali district on Saturday. The drone had taken off from an airbase six kilometer away from the crash area, a source said.
Close examination of the wreckage reveals it as a Chinese-made Wing Loong, that reported by Joseph Dempsey.
The official account on the incident is that the drone was in the area to monitor the flood situation and the aircraft encountered an issue six kilometers away from the airbase.
«Authorities concerned stated that the aircraft took off from Mianwali base to monitor different areas regarding flood situation and encountered a technical snag. No injury or casualty was reported on the ground as the aircraft crashed in an unpopulated area. » – said source in Pakistan Air Force.
The Chengdu Pterodactyl I also known as Wing Loong is a Medium-Altitude Long-Endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), developed by the Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group in the People’s Republic of China.
