China, Russia to conduct first computer-enabled anti-missile exercise

China and Russia have decided to hold a joint computer-enabled anti-missile defense exercise in May,reported by Ministry of National Defense of the People’s Republic of China.
This command-and-staff exercise, code-named Aerospace Security-2016, will be held at the scientific research center of Russian Aerospace Defense Forces. It is the first exercise of such kind held by the two countries.
The main purpose of the exercise is to improve the capability of the two countries in dealing with accidental and provocative ballistic and cruise missile strikes on the two countries’ territories through holding such drills of joint air defense and anti-missile defense operations.
The exercise does not target any third party.
