China develops unmanned robot supply trucks

China has developed a prototype of the unmanned ground technology for capable of making almost every military vehicle an optionally-manned vehicle.
According to local media, the first prototype of a new unmanned ground system based on Shaanxi SX2306 high mobility tactical truck conducted some road test.
The new technology is capable of supervised autonomous navigation of unmanned military truck. The unmanned vehicle with cameras and other sensors is capable of independently performing basic maneuvers (turning, turning around, moving in a snake pattern, etc.) of stopping before various obstacles and of moving in an organized column. The truck can also capable of distinguishing people and of making sharp turns.
The military experts consider the operation of driverless trucks would make supply distribution safer and more efficient, providing the flexibility to adapt to ever-changing and evolving threats.
