The South China Sea Fleet of the Chinese PLA Navy held on July 12 a commissioning ceremony for the new guided-missile destroyer Yinchuan (hull number 175) at a naval port in Sanya, a port city in China’s island province Hainan.
Zhou Xuming, deputy commander of the South China Sea Fleet of the PLA Navy attended the ceremony and presented the navy ensign and naming certificate for the new destroyer.
With the hull number 175, the guided-missile destroyer Yinchuan is more than 150 meters long and about 20 meters wide. It is the PLA Navy’s most advanced guided-missile destroyer in active service developed and built by China independently, and has stronger regional air defense and maritime combat capabilities.
