Bell 505 light helicopter unveils for Republic of Korea Army Aviation

Bell Helicopter unveiled its new Bell 505 light helicopter during the Republic of Korea Army Aviation Combat Development Seminar where subject matter experts discussed it as an affordable training solution for military operations.
Earlier Bell Helicopter has declared their intention to bid for South Korea’s upcoming THX training helicopter requirement. The South Korean government to issue a request for proposals for THX in November 2015, which will be for 40 new helicopters to replace the MD 500s.
The helicopter was developed by Bell Helicopter Textron in association with Turbomeca. The helicopter successfully completed its first flight at Bell’s manufacturing facility in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada, in November 2014.
The official name of the SLS helicopter was declared as Bell 505 Jet Ranger X at the Heli-Expo 2014 in Anaheim, California, US. The helicopter can be used for utility and law enforcement missions, as well as flight training for military and civilian applications.
