Belgian Minister of Defense unveils a prototype of the new FOX vehicle for Special Forces Group

Belgium has ordered 108 Fox 4×4 Rapid Reaction Vehicles (RRVs) from Jankel and first prototype of the new FOX vehicle for Special Forces Group was unveiled by Belgian Minister of Defense Steven Vandeput. That reported by armyrecognition.com.
The FOX vehicle is designed and manufactured by the British Company Jankel based on a 4×4 Toyota LandCruiser 79 chassis. For Belgium, the FOX will be available in two configurations with a total of 48 command and liaison vehicles and 60 reconnaissance vehicles.
Along with the 108 base Fox RRVs, Belgium has ordered 38 removable protection kits for the vehicles and ring mounts for mounting 12.7 mm heavy machine guns (MGs) or 40 mm automatic grenade launchers on 60 of the vehicles (all 108 can mount 7.62 mm MGs). Jankel will also provide 76 mm smoke grenade launchers, communications antennas, and installation kits for (government-furnished) communications equipment.
