4 killed, 1 injured after Beechcraft 1900D plane of Myanmar Air Force crashes in Myanmar’s capital Naypyidaw.
A Beechcraft 1900 was destroyed when it crashed shortly after takeoff from Naypyidaw International Airport (NYT), Myanmar. The aircraft impacted a field and burst into flames.
BEECH 1900 D airplanes can be used for transport purposes and rescues. Ceremony on introduction of these airplanes was attended at Mar 2015 by Command-in- Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and his wife, Union Minister for Border Affairs Lieutenant General Thet Naing Win, Commander- in-Chief(Navy) Admiral Thura Thet Swe, Commander- in-Chief(Air) General Khin Aung Myint and senior military officials.
The Beechcraft 1900 is a 19-passenger, pressurized twin-engine turboprop fixed-wing aircraft that was manufactured by Beechcraft. It was designed, and is primarily used, as a regional airliner. It is also used as afreight aircraft and corporate transport and by the United States military and other governments.
