Another Russian-designed Tigr armoured vehicle destroyed in Syria

During the fighting between Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Islamic State fighters, one Russian-designed Tigr armoured vehicle was destroyed near the village of Bahra in Syria.
According to a local source, the Tigr armoured vehicle, previously captured by the Islamic State fighters during clashes in the province of Deir ez Zor, was hit by a Syrian Democratic Forces troops near the village of Bahra.
It should be noted that the damaged Tigr armoured vehicle was fitted with the BMP-1 turret.

The Tigr (Tiger) is a 4×4 multi-role, all-terrain light armoured vehicle manufactured by Military Industrial Company (VPK), a part of GAZ Group. The vehicle is primarily operated by Russian Defence Ministry and Ministry of the Interior forces and was heading into Syria.

The vehicle is designed to carry troops and cargo, tow towed systems and mount weapons and other combat gear. Able to carry up to 10 fully equipped infantrymen, the wheeled armoured vehicle Tiger has a combat weight of 5300 kg and offers payload capacity of 1,500 kg.
