At the International Armoured Vehicles (IAV) trade fair in Farnborough, UK, earlier in 2012, familiar armoured fighting vehicles, troop carriers and military trucks from the likes of Nexter, Oshkosh, Renault, Ruag, Rheinmetall, ST Kinetics and Thales jostled for position in the main hall. But a striking newcomer took pride of place in the entrance way - the chiselled, angular frame of the 6x6 armoured patrol vehicle from Abu Dhabi manufacturer Nimr Automotive.
