India’s aerospace, defence & security industry IT recruitment activity rises 1.5% in December 2022

India’s aerospace, defence & security industry registered a 1.5% rise in IT hiring activity in December 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 10.35% in December 2022 when compared with November 2022.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 26.52% share in December 2022, recording a decrease of 1.41% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in India’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in December 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.73% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s aerospace, defence & security industry in December 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 66.24% in December 2022, registering a 25.6% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 22.78% share, an increase of 42.11% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 3.38%, registering a 14.29% rise from November 2022.
4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 3.38%, down 52.94% over the previous month.
Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in December 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 13.97% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s aerospace, defence & security industry during December 2022 over November 2022.
Thales posted 57 IT jobs in December 2022 and registered a rise of 533.33% over the previous month, followed by Boeing with 56 jobs and a 44% drop. Elettronica with 36 IT jobs and Cubic with 28 jobs, recorded a 20% growth and a 300% growth, respectively, while Raytheon Technologies recorded a decline of 18.18% with 27 job postings during December 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in December 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 51.05%, up by 40.7% from November 2022. Mid Level positions with a 45.15% share, registered a decline of 0.93% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 3.8% share, up 125% over November 2022.
