Deals this week: ATCO, Northrop Grumman, BAE Systems

ATCO Ltd was awarded a $79m five-year support services contract by the Canadian Department of National Defence’s procurement partner Defence Construction Canada.
The contractor will provide facility maintenance and support services to the Canadian Armed Forces sites across northern Canada.
The contract also includes a five-year extension option.
Northrop Grumman Corporation has been awarded a contract to manufacture AN/APR-39D(V)2 radar warning receiver and electronic warfare management systems.
The systems will be used to provide critical situational awareness and protection for the US Army and Navy aircrews by initiating countermeasures automatically in a threat situation.
Czech machinery maker Laser Centrum CZ has been selected by BAE Systems to manufacture mechanical components for the Mjölner mortar system.
The contract will help integrate the Mjölner system on the Swedish Army’s CV90 infantry fighting vehicles.
The US Government has agreed to provide military support to the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) through three new US Department of Defense (DoD) programmes worth $120m.
The new programmes will help improve the LAF’s border security and counterterrorism operations.
Funding for three initiatives will be provided by the DoD through the Building Partner Capacity programme.
Six MD 530G light attack helicopters will be supplied to the LAF under the first programme, and six Scan Eagle UAVs along with associated equipment will be delivered under the second programme. Training will also be provided under the programmes.
Communication and electronic equipment, night-vision devices and training will be supplied under the third programme.
The LAF will gain rotary-wing close air support capabilities and C4ISR functions through the programmes.
