The senior-most civilian and military leaders of the Air and Space Forces crisscrossed Europe the week of July 10 carrying separate itineraries but a singular message - the importance of tight relationships with allies and partners, and the need to forge seamless "day-zero interoperability" that is "integrated by design."

The event allowed the Air Force and U.S. Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa to integrate and engage with hundreds of Airmen from 31 nations, and approximately 200,000 visitors during the three-day military air show.

The BRAVO Hackathon and BRAVO 1 Canary Release began today; the event focuses on innovation and software development commonly employed by technology companies. Teams self-form and urgently develop working prototypes that are later presented to senior leaders.

More than 20 units and approximately 2,300 participants arrived at Nellis Air Force Base to take part in the final Red Flag of 2022. Greeting them were the pilots of the newly re-activated 65th Aggressor Squadron, and the 57th Operations Group’s dedicated multi-domain aggressor force.

Air Force officials have selected the service’s top enlisted members, naming the 12 Outstanding Airmen of the Year for 2022. The board selected the Airmen based on superior leadership, job performance and personal achievements. 

The 6th Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force, James M. McCoy, passed away July 13, 2022, at the age of 91.

The Air Force conducted another successful hypersonic test off the Southern California coast. The AGM-183A weapons system reached hypersonic speeds and primary and secondary objectives were met. 

The Department of the Air Force has completed the draft environmental assessment of the preferred alternative and other five reasonable alternatives for U.S. Space Command headquarters as required by the National Environmental Policy Act.
