Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall hosted an award ceremony at the Pentagon for recipients of the 2021 and 2022 Harold Brown Award, Aug. 8.

An idea to deliver multi-capable equipment for agile combat employment operations won the 2023 Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center Innovation Rodeo July 21 in San Antonio.

The Vanguard Award recognizes the DoD Component that best exemplifies a commitment to small business industrial base competitiveness.

These awards recognize the outstanding accomplishments of Airmen contributing to nuclear deterrence operations and the missile operations career field respectively.

Both uniformed and civilian members of the Air Force and Space Force will be recognized during the 18th Annual Stars and Stripes Awards Dinner for their accomplishments and contributions in STEM-related fields over the past year.

The Airmen earned the awards for their support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel, which provided close-air support for 2,000 Americans evacuating the embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, in August 2021.

Air Force officials have selected the service’s top enlisted members, naming the 12 Outstanding Airmen of the Year for 2022. The board selected the Airmen based on superior leadership, job performance and personal achievements.
