Ticks on Fort Campbell.

Posting so everyone can keep their animals safe. I sent it through my COC. Hopefully it makes it to everyone just in case.
My dog got some bad seed ticks walking on fort campbell down one of the many more wilder paths on Saturday (fence line patrol road). This is the main walking path that runs along the main Air Assault 12 mile route (behind the treeline and fence on Mabary Road) this is the third case from Fort campbell in the past two weeks per the vet. DO NOT walk your dogs in fort campbell through the wilderness. There are micro ticks and they spread like wildfire. If you see very tiny dots on your dogs, or falling off of your dogs, take them to the vet immediately to get them treated. Might cost about $200. The vet found no diseases on my dog, but is a case by case basis. Early prevention can prevent lime disease and other diseases. These ticks are about the size of pencil tips and are sead ticks. Mine had over 200 in the matter of days in particular on the toes. Protect your animals, DO NOT walk them down that path.
