I don't know if this is really worth discussing, but the OPTEMPO that began in 1990 is what really kicked it all off (there is a happy ending)

I was a bootfuck corpsman in 1990 and when Saddam did his thing to Kuwait in August of 1990, it seemed like the entire planet got tilted akimbo - shit has not stopped since then.
I deployed to Jubayl, SA with FH5 and was there thru all the SCUDs, the first Purple Heart awards, and all the bullshit that (then)seemed to be end-of-the-world stuff.
know what? dick heads at the front gate still forgot...

I comment a lot on military questions subs like r/MilitaryFAQ to give advice to people looking to join. But I feel hypocritical sometimes because I'll offer pretty established advice, but stuff I didn't personally do but actually turned out fine. Any of y'all make moves that you'd normally tell some idiot not to do, but in your case turned out well? Here's mine:
